Caroline Clinton Batten has been a Partner with Ryan & Dawson since 2008. Mrs. Batten was born in Canton, Ohio, on December 7, 1976, while her native West-Texan parents were living out of state for her father’s job.  She may not have been born in Texas, but her family returned as fast as they could.  Mrs. Batten was raised in Houston, Texas since the age of one. 

Mrs. Batten graduated from Texas A & M University with a B.B.A. in 1999.  Mrs. Batten received her J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2003 and was admitted to the Texas Bar that same year.  Mrs. Batten's educational accomplishments include placing in several national moot court competitions as a member and later coach of the South Texas College of Law Moot Court team.  Mrs. Batten’s professional memberships include the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, and Texas Association of Defense Counsel.

Mrs. Batten is admitted to practice in all State Courts in Texas as well as the Southern and Western Federal District Courts in Texas.  Mrs. Batten’s law practice is focused on general civil litigation at every phase from case evaluation through appeal, if necessary, with an emphasis on health care liability.  Mrs. Batten has first-chair jury trial experience, including a jury verdict exceeding five million dollars on behalf of her clients in a dram shop action.

Mrs. Batten enjoys spending time and traveling with her husband and two children.  She also enjoys volunteering at her children’s schools as well as raising money to help fight cancer with Houston Tri Delta Alumnae and Victory - The American Cancer Society. Mrs. Batten is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Houston.
